INTERNATIONAL INSPIRATION - INDIA

Here at MKDC Workspace Designers we are inspired by our own personal experiences including our travels to exciting places around the world. The textures, colours and vibrancy of any city or unique place resonates with us and helps build up our personal 'log' of patterns, products and new things we might like to explore in our future design work.

In this segment, Associate Director  Tenille Douglas draws inspiration from enchanting India.

1. General
The smells, the sounds, the heat, the people, the street cows – INDIA is a sensory overload experience! … Oh and an unforgettable trip and sourcing destination for fitting out Mandurah’s latest Dolphin Quay Restaurant offering (The Palladio Lounge).
2. The Food
Spices spices spices … ON LITERALLY EVERYTHING ! Taste buds – what taste buds!
 3. The Fashion
Step inside a world of bedazzlement, and the most incredible textile collections INDIA has to offer… and if you’re not sure where to start with how to wear a Sari, the lovely gents are more than happy to demonstrate.
4. The Streets
Two words - orderly chaos!
 5. The Streets
We really do live in the lucky country
 6. And finally... the Lighting
Flick the switch … and be engulfed by pure beauty in the presence of this lighting slash art installation masterpiece.
Hope you've enjoyed some International Inspiration!

THE PALLADIO LOUNGE - MANDURAH

How do you create a Modern Australian Restaurant + Lounge at Dolphin Quay in Mandurah with finishes, furniture, cabinetwork & lighting all sourced in INDIA … Tenille has just returned from overseas and is letting the trip snapshots tell the story…

It's hard not to be inspired & engaged when surrounded by such an overwhelming cultural experience. The amalgamation of pristine harbour views, a strong design concept + aesthetic & a client's local knowledge will undoubtedly create a unique new hub for Mandurah's local hospitality scene.
